Mamounia: Or shall I say “Opsomania” ;)

It was opsomania’s..oops I meant Mamounia’s turn to undergo the MUFT yesterday.

As I arrived, I found the place to be extremely comforting with all the bright yet not annoying colors and how spacious and well designed it was. Add to that, the fact the high ceiling made it excellent for the cigarettes and hubble bubble fumes to vanish into thin air. 9/10

What impressed me most was the outstanding presentation of the food 10/10 and the refreshing waiters’ sense of humor 9/10. But now let us get down to business….

The food in general didn’t score high on the MUFT…7/10

We had over 20 different items to share but all highly seasoned ones, which inspired me to use the word “Opsomania” in the first place.

14- Both Warak Enab and Batata Harra: Failed 3/10 (too lemony)/  (too oily)

18- Hot Bread Baskets: Very good 8/10 but the Regular Bread Baskets were stale 3/10

19- THE MANKAL: Excellent especially meat 9/10

Now you might wonder what might SardonicA rate Mamounia on her MUFT..well she would’ve given it an 8/10 but in fact her rating will be 7/10…this is somehow the desserts fault:

20- Pain Perdu: Failed Miserably 1/10…They didn’t nail the real authentic taste nor the texture.

21- Ashta Tower: Average 5/10

22- Chocolate Italian Tart: Failed 3/10 (too dry)

23- Ismaliyi: Average 5/10

24- Layali Lebnen: Average 5/10

 

The MUFT would recommend this place but definitely not when it comes down to desserts…stick to highly seasoned foods.
